Overview
A credibility-first website for an acquisition advisory practice helping first-time buyers survive the parts of a deal that lawyers and accountants do not cover.
The Storible Company is an Ottawa-based acquisition advisory practice founded by Uchechi Ogbonna, MBA, CHRL. It guides first-time business buyers through the stretch of a deal where most of the risk actually lives — readiness before an offer, and the first 100 days after close. Its audience is people making the largest purchase of their lives, often for the first time, and often women buyers who are underserved by the traditional M&A world. We designed and built the site to carry that weight: an authority-led structure that leads with hard-won operating experience, makes the three service tracks legible at a glance, and turns quiet research visits into booked consultations.
Acquisition advisory is a high-trust, high-consideration purchase, and the practice was new — no brand recognition, no published case studies, and no testimonials to lean on. Prospects also arrive confused about what an advisor even does, since lawyers and accountants already occupy the obvious slots. The site had to do three hard things at once: explain an unfamiliar service category in plain language, establish credibility from a standing start using the founder's track record rather than client logos, and stay fully self-serviceable so a solo practitioner could publish content without a developer.
We built the site on WordPress with Elementor so the founder can edit any page and publish to the blog independently. The messaging leads with the client's real objection — "Buying a Business Is Hard. Keeping It Running Well After Is Harder." — then resolves it into three clearly separated service tracks: Pre-Acquisition Advisory, Post-Acquisition Integration, and the Buyer Network. Because there were no testimonials to show, we made proof structural instead: 18 years of executive operating leadership, COO-level P&L ownership, regulated AML/KYC due diligence experience, and a flat transparent fee model stated up front as a conflict-of-interest guarantee. A blog anchors the long-tail search strategy, and consultation CTAs repeat at every scroll depth so intent is never more than one click from a booking.
